Ashok Gehlot has brokered unity in Bihar's Mahagathbandhan, declaring a decisive win for the alliance in the upcoming polls.
Former Rajasthan Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot has asserted that the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) in Bihar is united and poised for a sweeping victory in the upcoming Assembly elections, dismissing rumours of internal discord as "a deliberate attempt by the opposition to mislead voters.
Gehlot, recently appointed as the Congress's senior observer for Bihar, was rushed to Patna after tensions flared between the Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) over seat-sharing. His intervention is said to have averted a deeper rift within the alliance. Sources confirmed that Gehlot met RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, former Chief Minister Rabri Devi, and Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, successfully resolving disputes over several constituencies where both parties had fielded candidates.
