CHOKHI DHANI: CULTURE IN 5-STAR COMFORT
The Daily Guardian
|December 03, 2025
In an interview, Mehul Vaswani, Director of Hospitality at Chokhi Dhani Group, explains how the resort blends authentic Rajasthani culture with five-star comfort for travellers.
Q. Chokhi Dhani bas become synonymous with Rajasthani culture. How does the resort preserve authentic traditions while still appealing to modern travellers?
A. At Chokhi Dhani, we have a clear vision: we are a living showcase of the Rajasthani culture, traditions, equipped with the comfort level today’s traveller expects.
On the “authentic” side, we stay very close to real Rajasthani village life. Our architecture is inspired by traditional havelis and rural homes, with mud-plastered walls, courtyards, chowks and hand-painted motifs. The same approach applies to food: our thalis, live counters and regional dishes follow traditional recipes, ingredients and serving styles that locals recognise as their own.
At the same time, we know modern travellers will not compromise on comfort, safety or convenience. That's why our resorts and hotels offer 5-star level amenities - well-designed rooms and suites, climate control, WiFi, pools, spa services, curated dining options and professional event facilities - around the cultural core. We design itineraries so guests can move naturally between experiences: folk performances and village activities in the evening, but a quiet, comfortable room, hot shower and room service at night. For international guests, we balance traditional Rajasthani cuisine with global and contemporary dishes.
In short, we preserve tradition by keeping locals, original art forms and regional architecture at the centre, and we appeal to modern travellers by wrapping that culture in reliable service, thoughtful comforts and flexible experiences that fit how people actually travel today.
Q. What makes Chokhi Dhani stand out as a luxury wedding destination compared to other resorts in Jaipur?
A. What really sets Chokhi Dhani apart as a luxury wedding destination is that it gives you more than just a beautiful venue — it gives you a full Rajasthani story to host your wedding in.
