Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday held a high-level interaction with chief executives and experts from the artificial intelligence (AI) sector at his residence, Lok Kalyan Marg, underscoring India’s ambition to become self-reliant in Al while using the technology to drive inclusive growth.
The meeting, aligned with the upcoming IndiaAI Impact Summit in February, focused on fostering strategic collaborations, showcasing Al innovations and accelerating India’s AI mission. According to an official release, industry leaders expressed strong support for the government's push to build indigenous AI capabilities and acknowledged the scale of public investment aimed at positioning India as a global Al leader.
