It starts quietly, with a setback, heartbreak, a job loss, or just a moment when life doesn't go according to plan.
And then, almost without notice, the mind slips into the question: "why me?" It seems like a harmless thought, even a fair one. But when asked repeatedly, it becomes more than a question; it becomes a state of being. It takes the form of what we call a loop of victim consciousness. It's not just about playing the victim; it's about being unconsciously stuck in a pattern that keeps life small, heavy, and helpless.
Victim consciousness isn't about real victimhood, which is valid and deeply human. It's about the mental habit of identifying with struggle so strongly that it defines our worldview.
