The Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday announced the launch of a month-long statewide campaign titled “Parivartan Yatra 2026” in West Bengal, positioning it asa mass outreach exercise ahead of next year’s assembly elections.

Party leaders, who are working on the modalities of this yatra, told this newspaper the the campaign is aimed at countering what it described as more than a decade of "corrupt, undemocratic and anti-people governance" under the All India Trinamool Congress government.
