BJP Lodges Police Complaint Against Mamata for Maligned Delhi Police

Bengal CM alleges BJP-ruled state targeting Bengali-speaking migrants
The Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday lodged a police complaint against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for her allegation that the Delhi Police physically tortured a toddler and his mother on July 26 during the ongoing drive against migrant workers from her state on the suspicion that they were illegal Bangladeshi immigrants.
The complaint letter was filed on Tuesday afternoon at the cyber-crime branch at the Delhi Police headquarters by Soumendu Adhikari, the BJP Lok Sabha member from Contai and brother of the leader of the Opposition in Bengal Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari.
In a copy of the complaint which was seen by The Daily Guardian, Banerjee was charged with "dissemination of fake and communally provocative content on social media intended to defame the Delhi Police and disturb public order."
