The Patna High Court on Tuesday dismissed pleas challenging the decision of the Bihar Government to conduct a caste-based survey in the state.
The Nitish government has received significant relief in this matter. The work on caste enumeration will now resume. On May 4, the High Court, while hearing petitions filed against the caste enumeration, had temporarily halted the process. However, the Nitish government has now received the green signal from the court. The High Court has justified the Nitish government's decision to conduct the caste enumeration.
