|December 20, 2025
The Andhra Pradesh High Court has issued crucial orders regarding the counting of offerings at the Tirumala Srivari temple's Parakamani (counting center).
It directed the TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) to reduce human intervention in the counting process and suggested the use of Al and state-of-the-art machinery. It clarified that reforms should be implemented in two phases to curb thefts, and immediate and permanent plans should be formulated.
The High Court ordered a report within two weeks on security measures during the sealing, transportation, and counting of the offerings. It suggested using AI for classifying the offerings and identifying foreign currency. It also stated that a state-of-the-art system should be established to separate precious metals.
The high court ordered that a draft plan be prepared and submitted within 8 weeks.
The next hearing has been adjourned to the 26th of this month.
