Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a blistering attack on dynastic politics, labelling it a "poison", during his day-long visit to Madhya Pradesh on Sunday.

He singled out Congress, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), and the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) as parties steeped in it.
While addressing the media, Shah said under the veil of dynastic politics, power over both the party and the government remains concentrated within one family. This, according to him, sidelines grassroots workers and leaders.
The Home Minister also pointed out that several key figures in his party, including Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, current Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and himself, emerged without any political legacy. He contrasted this with the aforementioned parties, arguing that in their case, control remains firmly in family hands.
