It was Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his best on popular American podcaster Lex Fridman's show, "Narendra Modi: Prime Minister of India—Power, Democracy, War & Peace".
It was his "Mann ki Baat"—a glimpse into the heart and mind of a statesman, and a human being, who leads the world's largest democracy; only, this time the audience was global. It is for the first time that the world saw what Indians see in PM Modi—a philosopher, teacher/guru, a visionary, one deeply immersed in spirituality, a pragmatist, someone who inspires by example, and first and foremost, someone who is completely dedicated to the service of the people.
It was also incredible journalism for it managed a deep dive into the Prime Minister's soul. This was acknowledged by PM Modi as well, when he said that he had expressed in public many deep thoughts for the first time ever. No wonder that in spite of knowing so much of the Prime Minister's life and thoughts, his Indian audience stayed riveted to this heart-warming podcast, while the global audience flooded the comments section below the video link on YouTube on how inspired and touched they were by the Indian PM's words.
