West Cornwall's luxury homes star in new Channel 4 property series
The Cornishman

Four captivating homes - and one of Cornwall's leading estate agents - feature in the latest season of Britain's Most Expensive Houses, as Gillian Adams reports
-
THE third season of Channel 4's Britain's Most Expensive Houses started last month, with Cornwall homes strongly featured in the first episode.
The show aims to look behind the doors of some of Britain's most incredible homes, as brokers set about selling them.
The first two seasons saw Sotheby's International Realty showcase the firm's high-end properties, which were centred around London and the Home Counties.
However, for this series production company Waddell Media decided to feature homes from more areas around the UK, and picked Cornwall as one of them.
Ian Lillicrap, chairman of estate agency Lillicrap Chilcott, was approached about taking part.
"Over the years we've turned down many overtures from production companies", he said. "We only did this series because I actually watched Series 1 and 2 and thought it was quite interesting.
"I felt that we were going to be in very safe hands with people who really knew television and had made a lot of successful programmes, so we said yes to it. They were super people to deal with: tremendously professional.
"I think it's going to be a much more diverse series now and it's possibly a lot more interesting due to the range of properties."
Filming took place over several weeks between March and September last year.
The format of the programme shows estate agents visiting properties with potential buyers or buying agents and dealing with enquiries in order to make a sale.
