Water crisis deepens as Limpopo clinic runs dry for two years
The Citizen
|September 29, 2025
Louis Trichardt Clinic in Limpopo has been without consistent water supply for two years.
The water outage also affects the entire government building which houses the departments of home affairs, social development, agriculture, forestry and fisheries, labour and magistrates' court.
A patient, Jonas Erasmus, said water shortages started two years ago.
"We have to pay R3 to use a public toilet," he said.
The Public Servants Association (PSA) has condemned the water shortage as a health hazard, saying it breaches occupational safety regulations.
