At the 80th United Nations General Assembly, US President Donald Trump, pictured, gave a speech filled with aggressive nationalism and misleading claims.
Under the slogan “America First”, he showed open disrespect for migrants, describing them as threats, rather than people escaping war, poverty, and climate disasters. This language spreads fear, xenophobia and racism, instead of building empathy.
