No-nonsense bakkie is tough

Tremor stickers and thick tyres scream off-road.

No-nonsense bakkie is tough

Some bakkies look out of place, depending on where you park them. The 2025 Ford Ranger Tremor isn't one of them.

Whether it's parked outside a hiking trail in the Magaliesberg or next to a barista in Greenside, it fits right in. It doesn't shout for attention, but it doesn't blend into the background either.

It's the kind of vehicle that's clearly built with South African drivers in mind: strong, versatile, and just refined enough to keep things comfortable Monday to Friday.

Looks that mean business First thing you notice? It just looks tough. It's got that no-nonsense black grille, Tremor stickers and thick tyres that scream off-road.

The ride height is higher than your average Ranger, and with those Bilstein shocks and chunky tyres, it sits like it's ready to take on Sani Pass or Breedts Nek tomorrow morning, and still get you home for dinner at a Melrose Arch restaurant.

You also get side steps (which my wife found helpful) that double as rock sliders, a steel bash plate, front tow hooks, and all that good stuff. It's clearly made for getting dirty—and looking good doing it.
