Alleged farm attackers arrested

Two men were arrested shortly after an elderly couple were attacked, tied up and robbed on Smithfield farm in the Free State on Sunday.

The couple, aged 78 and 81, returned to their farm at around 1.30pm and were confronted by two suspects.
Free State police spokesperson Captain Lorraine Earle said: "While approaching the kitchen door, the wife was overpowered by two suspects.
