Ackermann got 'goose bumps'

BULLS: WELL TRAVELLED COACH TAKES OVER FROM WHITE
Johan Ackermann says he "got goose bumps" when he was offered the position of head coach of the Bulls.
The Pretoria-based union announced yesterday Ackermann will take over from Jake White, who recently left the union after five years in charge.
White had fallen out of favour with players and some coaches after guiding the team to a third United Rugby Championship final, without going all the way.
Ackermann is currently working with the Junior Springbok team, who will play in the final of the World Rugby U-20 Championship, against New Zealand, in Italy this weekend.
He previously worked for the Lions, taking them to Super Rugby finals in 2016 and 2017 before joining Gloucester in England. He also coached in Japan.
