Tindall has contact with hospitalised United chief Howe after morale-boosting victory over Red Devils

NEWCASTLE United coach Jason Tindall had contact with Eddie Howe in the immediate aftermath of yesterday's win over Manchester United.
But the Magpies stand-in boss has still not been given any indication when Howe will return to work and could well find himself in the dugout for the midweek fixture against Crystal Palace.
Tindall oversaw matters in the Premier League as Newcastle ran riot against the Red Devils to climb into fourth spot.
Tindall said in his Press conference: “We told the players to put in a performance for the manager to be proud of. I had a message from him before I came to see the Press.
“He was able to watch the game and I’m sure that will put a smile on his face. No updates, and I have not had the chance to speak to him.
