EX-NEWCASTLE and England defender Stuart Pearce says “brilliant start" and “immense” atmosphere may keep Sunderland up this season.

The much-revered former left-back believes both Leeds and Sunderland could stay up this year.
He also reckons if Sunderland can beat Burnley today they will “believe they can stay up.”
