Shops forced to close after raft of complaints

BARBERS AND VAPE SHOP TOOK NO NOTICE OF COUNCIL
Police officers at the former Throckley Petrol Filling Station
A NEWCASTLE barber shop and a vape store that were opened up in a former petrol station have been shut down after the council received a raft of complaints.
Notices were served on the former Throckley Filling Station on Hexham Road requiring a vape shop and barber business to close immediately.
Planning enforcement officers, supported by Northumbria Police, used powers under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 after the occupants ignored repeated requests to cease trading and instead carried on conversion work.
