Revamped Common Room set for ‘electrifying' chiller

A MONSTROUS tale will be brought back to electrifying life in Newcastle over Halloween in a historic setting which can only add to the atmosphere.
Spine-tingling show Frankenstein or the Modern Prometheus will open at The Common Room in the city centre on October 24 for a run - taking in the night of Halloween itself - until November 1.
The production by Niltoni Entertainment had its premiere at the equally atmospheric Castle Keep last autumn, where it enjoyed a sellout two-week run, and now is coming back to terrify audiences all over again.
The Common Room in Westgate Road is the revamped former Neville Hall home of The Mining Institute - which describes itself as 'Newcastle's best kept secret'.
