Police launch probe after man 'asked to buy girls and ladies for sex'

A police investigation has been launched after a man walked into a South Tyneside bar and asked staff if he could “buy girls and ladies for sex”.

The bizarre incident happened on Tuesday night in Wardles Sports and Pool Bar on Albert Street in Hebburn.
The man was said to have entered the bar at about 10.15pm and asked staff to buy “girls and ladies for sex”. He is then said to have asked a female member of staff if he could “buy” her.
