Opal celebrates a decade making 'happier children'

A NORTH East business is celebrating 10 years of working with the region's schools to improve children's lives through play.

Opal North East is celebrating its 10-year anniversary

Opal North East has worked with more than 300 schools over the last decade, including the likes of Cullercoats Primary School and Lingey House Primary School - helping them to reimagine playtimes.

In that time, they have improved an estimated 3,000 acres of school grounds; trained more than 10,000 members of staff; and instigated upwards of 600,000 playful days, resulting in around 75,000 happier, healthier, more active children.

The Opal Primary Programme is an award-winning mentor-supported school improvement programme that has been independently proven to sustainably improve the quality of play in primary schools.
