New-look Loch as £115k refurb revitalises pub

AN old city boozer has been given a new lease of life following a dramatic makeover.
Popular pub The Lochside in Newcastle has been taken over and is now managed by Vicki McEvoy and Kane Holford, who are injecting a new lease of life into the old building.
The Lochside in High Heaton - previously run by Blackrose Pubs was taken over by Punch Pubs & Co, which invested £115,000 into creating a new look and new vibe for the community hub. And, following its reopening in Red Hall Drive, Benton, after a four-week revamp, Vicki and Kane are now welcoming back customers.
