Loan signing looking to prove his worth at Heed
The Chronicle

GATESHEAD new boy Aidan Elliott-Wheeler believes he has plenty to prove after making a loan switch to the International Stadium earlier this week.
The Oxford United youngster has already enjoyed loan stints with the likes of Banbury United, Hemel Hempstead Town and Salisbury in recent seasons - but his temporary switch to the Heed means he will compete in the National League for the first time in his career.
Able to play at right-back or on the wing, Elliott-Wheeler will be a timely addition to a Gateshead squad that has slid down the table in recent weeks after winning just two of their last 10 league games.
The youngster made his debut in a midweek National League Cup defeat against Leeds United Under-21s and will go straight into contention for a starting place in tomorrow’s visit to Sutton United.
