MEET Tino Velho - the football fan with two teams. The 69-year-old is originally from Lisbon, Portugal, but moved to the North East 40 years ago.

- By KRISTY DAWSON

He supports both his hometown club Benfica as well as his local team Newcastle United. The two clubs are set to play each other at St James’ Park in the Champions League tonight.

They last played each other in a competitive match in the Europa League 12 years ago. Tino, who lives in Greenside, Gateshead, will be split when it comes to who he will support on the day.

The dad-of-one said: “When I found out Benfica would be playing Newcastle I couldn't believe it. I never expected Benfica to come over again. The last time I wore my Newcastle top on top and my Benfica shirt underneath!

“I'm so excited to see the game on Tuesday night. I don’t want Benfica to lose and I don’t want Newcastle to lose. It's a very tricky feeling.

“If it’s a draw I would be happy because I'd come out of the stadium thinking my teams haven’t won - but they haven't lost either! Obviously I'm going to be disappointed if either side lose.
