HI Sunshine News Readers, we can't believe the end of the year is nearly here and today we're officially wrapping up 2025 as our office closes for two weeks.
-
The past month has flown by and we have had a lot going on for Christmas! Mainly, we've been delivering our free, fully accessible Santa Grotto Bus with our friends at Stagecoach, which has been a huge success.
This is our seventh year bringing our Santa Bus to the city and each year it has got bigger and better. We were on Nelson Street over two busy weekends, where we saw over 1,000 kids. In the week between, we took the bus on the road to visit three local SEND schools, bringing Santa to hundreds of kids who might not have the opportunity to attend a 'traditional' grotto.
The purpose of our Santa Bus is to allow people of all ages, needs and budgets to experience the magic of Christmas, because we believe everyone should have the chance to meet Santa. Visits to our bus remain free of charge, we don't require any booking, and everybody leaves with a small gift.

No escaping your fitter enemy
EVERY new show needs a great opening. Something to forcefully grab the viewer's attention and maintain that vice-like grip for the next hour or so. The producers of Handcuffed: Last Pair Standing must have been rubbing their hands with glee when they saw the rough cut of this first episode: a glimpse of the countryside, a nice burst of birdsong, sounds of a man and a woman laughing and then... two people naked in a shower. Goodness me, and it's only just past the watershed too.
