IT COMES AFTER WOMAN'S 'HEROIC' ACTIONS TO SAVE HER NEIGHBOUR'S LIFE

- By DANIEL HALL Reporter

LIFESAVING skills are being rolled out further across a Newcastle community, after a newly-trained first aider’s vital intervention to help an elderly neighbour.

In June this year, Jayne Davies helped save the life of a woman who she found had collapsed, just days after attending a course at the Gosforth Residents Association.

After her “heroic” actions, local councillor Doc Anand has donated his monthly council salary to pay for more first aid sessions delivered by medics at Frontline Medical and Training. After the latest course last weekend, the Conservative councillor said that more than 20 people had now become qualified first aiders thanks to the training.
