Fans may see Wissa in action in next few weeks

EDDIE Howe has dropped a new hint on Yoane Wissa with the DR Congo international edging closer to full fitness after a knee injury with the Toon boss admitting: “He's close.”

The £55million man will not be in the squad to face Man City this evening and is unlikely to be ready for the Champions League meeting in Marseille.
But there has been hope behind the scenes that he could potentially be back in contention for either Everton next weekend or the home game with Tottenham Hotspur on December 2.
Howe was unable to commit to either date but said yesterday: “No, I haven't got a clear, defined return date for you. He’s working well, so he's not back training with us yet, but he's close.
