HUNDREDS of drug users in North Tyneside are not receiving the help they need to overcome their addiction, according to report estimates.

HUNDREDS of drug users in North Tyneside are not receiving the help they need to overcome their addiction, according to report estimates.
Statistics estimate there are around 977 opiate and or crack cocaine users per 100,000 in North Tyneside, with around 38% or 785 users not currently in some form of treatment. The rate of unmet need is especially high amongst crack cocaine users at 63%.
