In your dog’s next routine health check with your vet, I suggest getting detailed advice on the signs to be aware of. This is important before deterioration, such as dragging back feet or paralysis. It is also useful to know how you can be referred to a specialist centre, as surgical treatment is most often performed by specialists. Timing is crucial, because with all treatments the best results are obtained if initiated within 24-48 hours of signs appearing.
