Christmas classic sets the mood for festivities

DESPITE it still being only the start of November, Christmas officially arrived in Newcastle on Sunday night, as this year's Fenwick's window was revealed.

If you're in Newcastle over the festive period, a trip to see the display is an absolute must, with the famous department store in the heart of Newcastle city centre, dressing its windows every Christmas since the early 1970s.
Memorable windows over the past decades have included those themed on The Snowman, Beatrix Potter and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
After last year's Twelve Days of Christmas concept went down well, hopes were high that this year's display would also be a great one.
