Birthday treat for home 'queen'
The Chronicle
|June 12, 2025
THE 101-year-old "queen" of a North Shields care home celebrated her birthday on Tuesday with a classy tea party, and a visit from her beloved nephews.
Dorothy Brown, who has been a resident at Redesdale Court for almost eight years, made the most of the special day, which she enjoyed among staff and her fellow residents.
David and Philip Milburn, Dorothy's nephews and closest family, surprised their auntie by coming to see her yesterday afternoon, something which Activities Coordinator Sue Morgan said she was "over the moon" about.
