BIKER WAS INJURED AFTER CRASH ON BUSY ROAD

A DRIVER left a motorcyclist with a bleed on the brain after a horror crash on a busy road. Gary Cook, 68, caused the collision after pulling out in front of the victim on Plessey Road, in Blyth, one afternoon in September last year.

A court heard that the retired graphic designer had seen the victim coming towards him but thought he had enough time to safely pull out. However, he caused a crash, which left the motorcyclist needing surgery for a bleed on the brain, cuts to his neck and broken fingers.
