ALASDAIR Appleby fired Felling to victory on a rain-hit afternoon, with an innings of 38 from 24 balls seeing his side home against Shotley Bridge.
-
The Bridge were skittled for just 82 as Palzer Tamang - who later made an unbeaten 21 - claimed 5-20 and Elliot Fox 4-19. Paul Greenwell top-scored for the visitors with 35.
In reply, and after numerous rain delays, Felling made the required runs, with Appleby smashing four sixes and a four as the hosts reached 83-5 from 11.5 overs.
Tynemouth and Sunderland drew in the only other game played to a finish. Matthew Kimmitt made the runs for Tynemouth, scoring 61 in their total of 162-5 declared off 30.2 overs.
Sunderland were reduced to 27-3 at one stage in reply, but Greg Applegarth scored 68 and Sam Baldwin 48 and they ended up on 140-7. Burnmoor kept their unbeaten run intact, but were beaten by the weather at Chester-le-Street.
