IN NOVEMBER THE CALLERTON ACADEMY welcomed Space Architects into school to work with some of our Year 10 GCSE Food and Nutrition students. We had a great time developing our skills in baking, food presentation and decoration to construct a replica of our new school site in gingerbread form. I helped carve the paths out of icing and was in charge of spraying the roof with edible glitter. We even included marshmallow snowmen!
The project was completed in collaboration with Oasis Community Housing, a charity that helps people facing homelessness
