Village marks 150 years of fete

CHRISTLETON will this year celebrate 150 years of its annual summer fête.

Named one of the UK's Best Places to Live in 2024, Christleton has held a village fête nearly every year since 1875.
Organised by a team of volunteers, the community celebration raises thousands to channel back into local groups and good causes.
This year, the 150th Christleton Village Fête will be held on Saturday, June 28 on the Christleton Primary School playing field.
Kate Williams, co-chair of the Christleton Village Fête Committee, said: “Each year between 700 and 1,000 visitors attend the event.
