Keeping streets safe throughout summer months
The Chester Chronicle
|July 10, 2025
CHESHIRE'S communities are to benefit from a summer-long safety initiative aimed at tackling antisocial behaviour, retail and street crime in town centres and public spaces.
-
Safer Streets Summer is a programme of targeted activity with organisations working collaboratively across Cheshire to keep communities safe.
This nationwide Home Office initiative supports the key priorities in the police and crime plan outlined by Dan Price, Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner.
It will focus on five main areas: Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB), Crime and Enforcement, Diversion, Support, Visibility and Engagement.
Throughout the campaign, officers and partners will engage directly with residents and businesses through door-to-door visits in key urban areas across Cheshire.
These discussions will help tailor local responses, address concerns and inform further action - all backed by data-driven insights from crime mapping and community feedback.
