'There'll be no more complaining about player budgets from me' says Blues boss

- BY CLIVE YOULTON

I didn't mean to show disrespect

MANAGER Calum McIntyre has made an apology to supporters via Chester FC's website.

The Blues boss touched on the “nonsense spouted about the club” and wanted to explain to fans his desire to remain honest and transparent.

“Honesty and transparency are really important to me so I want to share something with you,” he told the Chester faithful.

“I have a real regret and frustration from last season and it is that I became another one of those managers who talks about playing budgets and resources regularly.

“This league has become really silly for it, with managers offering constant commentary around who spends what and I played my part in that last year - perhaps out of frustration - at the nonsense that gets spouted about the club.

“It is remarkable how many teams appeared to have a better season than us while spending more money than us and getting less points than us along the way.
