Full-time future possible - Green

JIM Green has indicated that Chester FC may one day move to a full-time model but he reckoned, “it's something we need to build towards.”
The Blues vice chairman confirmed the club wouldn’t have gone full-time had they earned promotion to the National League because of the timing and to respect players’ existing contracts.
But it is something the club will work towards as the ambition is still to join the fifth tier of English football.
As for the budget, Green said there were two options on the table before the play-off final and they are back to the first one.
“We were preparing for both scenarios and budgeting for that,” he explained. “We go back to that National League North budget. And try to make sure we can give Calum [McIntyre] the most competitive playing budget so we can try and build on this season.
“We want to try and retain our key players from this year and look to add the quality where we think we can improve the team and the group. That is what we have been doing since the play-off final. Even 48 hours after the game conversations kicked off with existing players and potential new signings. It’s been a busy time.”
Pre-season training is just four weeks away with the club's first pre-season friendly on July 12.
