Charity dance event debut success

WEEKS of effort and commitment paid off for the brave volunteers who signed up to compete in the Hospice of the Good Shepherd's first-ever Hospice Strictly dance spectacular.

The nine individuals, most without any previous ballroom dance experience, were paired with professional dancers and put through their paces during many hours of intense practice, aching muscles and fraying nerves.
The couples finally took their turn on the dance floor at a star-studded event at Chester Racecourse. They entertained the audience with an action-packed programme of showstopping routines including the jive, samba, waltz and Charleston.
