Bid to replace mobile phone mast approved

A REPLACEMENT mobile phone installation gained approval near Chester.

The application was made at the telecommunications site at Hoole Old Hall, Warrington Road, Mickle Trafford by agent Joshua Fiteni for Clarke Telecom.
Planning officers at Cheshire West and Chester Council were told a replacement 25m tower was involved together with other equipment including the removal of a 15m mast.
Gowy Rural ward councillors Graham Heatley and Margaret Parker had no observations and there were no representations.
The site was adjacent to the A56/M53 junction according to a report.
Prior approval was being sought for the new installation, it was explained. The Government wished to improve telecommunications coverage.
