Participants takes to the water for the Deva Swim

CHESTER’S Grosvenor Park was buzzing with athletic activity on Sunday morning where 500 triathletes competed in the Deva Triathlon.
The event, now into its 27th year, featured a number of separate swim/bike/run disciplines covering the Chester T100 Middle Distance, Olympic and Short Distance as well an Aqua Bike comprising swim and bike, that hosted the age Group Championship Qualifying race for British Triathlon.
Based in the beautiful setting of Chester's Victorian Grosvenor Park, the races started with a swim in the River Dee, followed by a bike ride past the iconic Chester Amphitheatre out via Handbridge to Rossett, Holt and Farndon before returning to the City via Huntington for a run that took in the Meadows and City centre finish along the bustling Groves that line the river.
