Dangote, NNPC Align on Energy Goals
The Business NG
|The BusinessNG
The President/Chief Executive Officer of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has dismissed any notion of rivalry between his $20 billion refinery and the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), describing their relationship as complementary rather than competitive.
-
Speaking during a courtesy visit to NNPC Ltd's Group Chief Executive Officer, Bashir Bayo Ojulari, at the NNPC Towers in Abuja on Thursday, Dangote emphasized that the two organizations are united by a shared vision to transform Nigeria's energy sector.
"There is no competition between us," Dangote said. "NNPC is part and parcel of our business, and we are also part of NNPC. This is an era of cooperation between both organizations."
The meeting, which included senior executives from both companies, marked a significant gesture of alignment between Nigeria's largest private sector refinery and the nation's state-owned oil giant.
