Court to Rule July 17 on Yahaya Bello's Medical Travel Bid

Justice Maryann Anenih of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court has fixed July 17, 2025, to rule on an application by former Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, seeking permission to travel abroad for medical treatment.

At the resumed hearing of the money laundering case filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Bello’s counsel, Joseph Daudu (SAN), told the court that an application dated June 19 and filed on June 20 had been submitted, requesting the release of his client's international passport to enable overseas medical care.
