VP-elect CP Radhakrishnan to take oath Sept 12

Following the official announcement of the results by Rajya Sabha Secretary General and Returning Officer PC Mody, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was among the first to congratulate the newly elected Vice President.
The oath-taking ceremony of Vice President-elect Chandrapuram Ponnusamy Radhakrishnan is scheduled to take place on the morning of September 12, Friday, at Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi. The event will mark the formal assumption of office for the newly elected Vice President of India. President Droupadi Murmu will administer the oath of office to Radhakrishnan, as per tradition.
