History has shown time and time again that tyrants—those who wield absolute power—inevitably face a downfall. From the bloody demise of Richard III to the execution of Saddam Hussein, these leaders often meet their end as a result of their own arrogance, excess, and disregard for limits.

History has shown time and time again that tyrants—those who wield absolute power—inevitably face a downfall. From the bloody demise of Richard III to the execution of Saddam Hussein, these leaders often meet their end as a result of their own arrogance, excess, and disregard for limits. Donald Trump, despite being a distinct figure in modern history, is no exception. His return to power in 2025 has reignited fears of a chaotic and destructive future under his leadership, but his downfall, like those before him, is inevitable. The question is not if he will fall, but how and when.

NATURE OF TYRANNY Tyranny is marked by hubris—excessive pride that blinds leaders to the limitations of their power. This arrogance inevitably leads to nemesis, the downfall that results from the very traits that allowed them to rise. Historical tyrants like Richard III and Muammar Gaddafi underestimated their enemies, alienated potential supporters, and eventually faced ruin. Trump's behavior, whether through economic protectionism or divisive cultural wars, mirrors these traits. His grandiose self-image and self-serving politics have alienated large segments of society and undermined democratic institutions.
