Four dedicated working groups have been formed to manage the operational, technical, and awareness-building pillars of the project.
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on Tuesday convened a high-level meeting of the Joint Committee of Regulators (JCoR) in New Delhi. The objective of the meeting was to curb the surge in spam calls, telecom-based fraud, and misuse of communication platforms—especially those targeting digital financial transactions.
In a high-level meeting, top officials from key regulatory bodies and government departments, including financial regulators RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, and PFRDA, alongside government agencies MeitY, DoT, and MHA, and industry leader NPCI, were present.
