NHPC and TPREL partner to install rooftop solar panels on government buildings, aiming to boost clean energy use in India

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NHPC Renewable Energy Limited (NHPC-REL) to embark on a significant initiative aimed at installing Rooftop Solar Projects (RTS Projects) across government buildings in central ministries, states, and union territories. This development was shared by the company in a filing on Thursday, marking a crucial step towards the implementation of the ambitious PM Surya Ghar Yojna Scheme, which seeks to achieve 100% solarisation of governmentowned buildings by December 2025.
