SUPREME COURT STAYED PROCEEDINGS IN 3 HIGH COURTS ON ALLEGED PAPER LEAK IN NEET-UG 2024 EXAM

The Supreme Court in the case observed and has stayed the proceedings in the petition filed in Rajasthan, Calcutta and Bombay High Courts with regards to the alleged paper leak in the NEET-UG 2024 exam held on May 5 this year.

The Vacation bench comprising of Justice Vikram Nath and Justice SVN Bhatti in the case passes the order and has issued notice on the transfer petition filed by the National Testing Agency, NTA. The NTA is seeking the transfer of these petitions from the High Court to the Supreme Court.
The bench in the case was initially not inclined to pass an order to stay the proceedings.
The bench stated that if the notice is issued on the transfer petitions, the High Courts generally refrain from dealing with the matter further.
