SUPREME COURT GRANTS BAIL TO AAP MP SANJAY SINGH IN PMLA CASE AFTER ED'S CONCESSION

The Supreme Court in the case observed and has granted bail to Aam Aadmi Party, AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh in the money laundering case which relates to the Delhi liquor policy case after a concession was made by the Directorate of Enforcement, ED.

When the Enforcement Directorate, ED stated that it has no objection to grant of bail to Sanjay Singh in peculiar facts of the case, the Court ordered his release, clarifying that nothing was being expressed on merits.

The bench comprising of Justice Sanjiv Khanna, Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice PB Varale in the case observed and has passed the order, while orally commenting that Singh would be entitled to indulge in political activities during the period of bail.

Adding to it the court that Singh is not supposed to make any public statement regarding the case, while dismissing as infructuous the second petition filed by Singh challenging his arrest and remand. Proceedings Before the court:
